Jennifer Mendoza Uligan Patricio was born on July 25, 1981 at Lamao Limay, Province of Bataan. At her very young age she already knew that she has the passion for arts and crafts. Her father would usually buy her art materials to hone her skills. She is a Mass Communication graduate at St. Dominic Savio College in Caloocan City and landed a job as a writer and as the Head Secretariat of a local political party at the City Government of San Jose del Monte, Bulacan.

 

In 2011, she joined visual artists group called Artes Indios. From there she started on making portraits, joined group exhibits and national art competitions.

 

In 2015, , she decided to quit her job and worked as a full time artist. She has worked on several projects like in restaurants and churches, and commissioned artworks especially wedding portraits.

 

As a result of her perseverance, in 2016 she was chosen as one of the finalists in the Non-Representational Category of the GSIS National Art Competition with her piece entitled “Inspired by the Ruins”. In 2018, she is also one of the Honorable Mention in the Robinsons Land National Art Competition.

 

At present, as a self-taught artist, she believes that artwork should represent one’s own ideas, experiences, concepts and how an artist perceives and visualize everything that surrounds him, to produce a masterpiece that will create his own identity in the visual arts industry.
