“The sun filters through the trees; he feels her shiver in the breeze. He responds to her body as it calls, two become one as the water falls” --- Tia Maria

Waterfalls reminds me how I see life in general, it’s a cycle; old people die but new born babies are there to continue their legacies, life is a cycle like waterfalls.

I’m very fortunate to visit one of the popular waterfalls in Cebu; Kawasan Falls located at Badian. Me and four PTB friends agreed to meet up at Badian so we can all go and visit this falls (I think this is falls no. 4 or 5 for me). They are coming from Osmeña Peak while I’m coming from the city. Unfortuantely, rain caught up with them so they have to stop for shelter; one of the reasons why I end up waiting (nyahahaha *peace* doi).
How to get to Kawasan Falls:
1. From Cebu City, make your way to the South Bus Station. Hop on at buses bound for Badian, you may ask the people from the station to refer you at the correct one.
2. Fare is 130 php for A/C buses; don’t know how much is for the regular buses since A/C buses was the first to leave when I got there.
3. Just tell the driver to drop you off at Barangay Matutinao, Badian or “Kuya sa Kawasan Falls lang po” (lol)
4. From the drop off point, many touts will offer you a ride to the entrance of the park, no need. You can walk your way to the gates and pay the environmental fee (I can’t remember if it’s 5 or 15 php).
Many Falls of Kawasan
I thought Kawasan falls is just a single falls (do I make sense? Lol), apparently it has 7 cascades all in all. Good thing my cebu based friends asked me to stay at the upper part of the park, where the water from the falls came from. Along the way we saw the other “not so photographed” part of Kawasan.
This is falls no. 2, framing it with the greens
makes the shot more...vegetarian? (bwahahaha)

This is falls no. 5, after crossing this part of the river and settled our belongings,
I went back for some slow shutter experience.

Falls no. 6 & 7, this is where you enjoy the balsa ride

Gentle reminder: If you’re not a good swimmer, you can rent a life vest. Safety first!
Cash Flow: You can rent “kubo” for 300 php, Balsa ride is around 300 php as well.

Very nice post with pictures that gave justice to the beauty of the spot. I also went there last April this year and found the place so alluring.
Nostalgic . I once etched a lover's name on a rock on the topmost waterfall, haha :D
