I saw too many mentions on my FB notification, enough for me to ask “makukulong na ba ako?” but it was completely the opposite of what I’m thinking…I saw Eileen’s post on PTB Bagets congratulating me about my blog being a finalist on Philippine Blog Awards 2011 Photoblog category – National Level. It was like an advance Christmas gift.
Then I saw the email from PBA, so the good news is true and I’m not imagining things…I checked on my co-finalist, all of them are awesome Photographers/Photo-bloggers. Being part of the finalist is already an achievement in itself. Below is the list of Finalist for this year’s Photo Blog Category – National Level:
The awarding ceremonies happened yesterday, at the Carlos P. Romulo Theater, RCBC Plaza. I was very excited to attend the PBA for three reasons: One, the idea of meeting other bloggers and the fact that I was recognized; Two, I’ll be with PTB (Pinoy Travel Bloggers) friends who are also finalists on different categories and lastly to meet one of my idol travel blogger Christian of Lakad-Pilipinas.(Naks!)
In the end, RosariOko won the Photo Blog category (master of music photography, hanep ang mga photos. Do check her blog at www.RosariOko.com). Though I didn’t win, I still fulfill the three reasons why I attended the PBA.
I would like to thank Gael ofthe Pinay Solo Backpacker for nominating me for this category. Thanks for always believing on my photos even though sometimes I doubted my own work. And to PTB and PTB Bagets salamat!!! Woot!!!
Thanks to Philippine Blog Awards for recognizing bloggers year after year. Especially for first time bloggers like me…I consider this experience as one of my 2011 highlights.

Congratulations Jerome! Saya talaga maging finalist sa PBA :D Just keep on doing what you truly love (traveling and photography) and for sure lalong bobongga ang blogging career! Hope to travel with you soon. Kapag naaalala kita, parang automatic na gusto ko mag-food trip. Ewan ba haha blame it on the quirky food talk sa Chic Boy dati hehe =))
