Sagada and Baguio have a long list of restaurants that offer great food that once tasted, you will literally ask for more. Here are a few of the best food experience from Sagada and Baguio:
When in Baguio…
Good Taste
Located near Dangwa, the bus station that offers routes to and fro Sagada town from Baguio city, offers mouth watering Chinese food. After a 6 hours bus ride who wouldn’t love to eat newly cooked meals right? We ordered meals good for sharing; we had Birds Nest Soup, Fried Chicken, Buttered Garlic Chicken, Chopsuey, and another pork dish that I forgot the name.

Good Taste really deserves their name, the food is literally have a “good taste”, no wonder locals and tourists always go here for some brunch. The place is a good place for big groups like a lunch out with your families or friends.

50’s Dinner
If you want value for money with big servings of food, then visit 50’s Dinner. This restaurant brings their customers back in the 50’s when servings are really in big portions. Try their best seller burgers and milk shakes.
Café by the Ruins
When in Sagada…
Yoghurt House
The restaurant’s name says it all, their best seller is their variety of Yoghurts, you can choose from banana, strawberry preserve, blue berries or granola. You can also mix and match the toppings to have a unique flavor of your own.

But aside from Yoghurt, they also serve pastas, fresh salads, pork, beef and chicken dishes. My favorite among the dishes I’ve tasted was their pastas. We really enjoyed eating here at Yoghurt house that we went here for three consecutive nights (I think?).
Café Bodega
After our failed attempt to see the Kiltepan Sunrise, we went at Café Bodega to eat our breakfast. Foods here are basic and simple, yet delicious. I tried their Daing na Bangus --- nice and crispy. Others ordered banana creep, bacon and eggs.
Lemon Pie House
By night time we decided to eat dinner at the Lemon Pie House. We ordered two Lemon Pies to be shared among the group; some ordered Lemon Tea as well. I ordered Adobo, while some ordered Fried Chicken and Pasta with black sauce. The food was ok for me, but my Adobo was a bit disappointing, theirs is not soy sauce based and my taste buds got confused after tasting the Black Pasta.
Kimchi Restaurant
The only restaurant serving good Korean meals in Sagada and you’ll never go wrong when you choose to eat here. I think every Korean meal they serve is phenomenal. They perfected how Korean food tastes like; I think theirs is better than other Korean restaurants in Manila so you really need to try it out.
Pinikpikan Haus
Now, if you’re in Sagada and you want to try a food unique to the place then go for Pinikpikan, a chicken dish looks like Tinola but taste like Bachoy (well at least that’s how my taste buds telling me).
A few information on how Igorots prepare Pinikpikan: It is prepared by beating a live chicken with a stick prior to cooking. The beating bruises the chicken’s flesh, bringing blood to its surface, which is said to improve the flavor after cooking.
These are just a few of the restaurants I’ve visited in Baguio and Sagada, you may want to explore more if you have the luxury of time and money.
